Caution — Bank Holiday & Eurotunnel congestion: 31 August 2026 is the England Summer Bank Holiday, so expect heavier-than-usual traffic on the M20/M25/M6 corridor during the return-getaway window this leg falls in. The Port of Dover has also warned of possible severe congestion around Channel crossings this summer due to ongoing EU border-system (EES) rollout issues, even though full biometric checks aren’t expected to be active for this crossing.
